Boater Safety Course

Discovery Bay has over 2300 deep water homes with one, two or three boats at their docks and many other DB residents have boats on trailers or stored at marinas. Now, Pacific Coast Water Rescue (a subsidiary of Discovery Bay Community Foundation) in conjunction with Boat Safe America, will be offering Safe Power Boat Handling classes to the public who would like to improve their boat handling skills and waterway knowledge. This course is for anyone who is 16 years or older. This course is a US Powerboating / NASBLA approved 16-hour, three day class which will be held on July 9th, 10th and 11 from 9:00-3:00 in Discovery Bay. Upon completion of this course you will receive your lifetime certification California Boating card, a requirement for all boaters beginning in 2018. Below is the outline of the course and how to sign up.
